Mosquera named as defensive reinforcement

TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht is showing interest in Juan David Mosquera, a 22-year-old Colombian defender currently under contract with Portland Timbers. Mosquera, who was educated in Medellín, has developed into a versatile player in the United States, deployable as a right back and right winger. This season, he has scored one goal in 19 games and has been called up three times for the Colombian national team. Mosquera has a contract that runs until December 2027, with an option for an additional season.


His market value is estimated at three million euros. Besides Anderlecht, Spartak Moscow and possibly Zenit St. Petersburg are also interested in the young defender.
