Wijnants leaves RSCA Women

DAMES Sarah Wijnants has announced her departure from Anderlecht after eight years of loyal service. The player describes the club as her "second home" and explains that it was her dream to play for Anderlecht, inspired by idols such as Boussoufa, Biglia, and Lukaku. In her farewell message, Wijnants looks back fondly on the growth of women's football and hopes that young girls will now also look to her and her teammates as role models.


She also thanks her teammates and the club for the wonderful memories, friendships, and warm welcome since her arrival in 2017.

While Wijnants is pursuing new dreams, she emphasizes that her departure is not permanent: "This is a 'see you later,' not goodbye." Her future plans remain unknown for the time being.
