INTERVIEWS In the lead-up to the match against Cercle, Besnik Hasi made several changes to RSC Anderlecht's starting lineup. The coach emphasized afterward that he wants players who are fully committed to the club. Thorgan Hazard didn't start against BK Häcken for fear of an injury on the artificial turf, but he was back in the starting lineup against Cercle. Yasin Özcan was not yet eligible to play. Hasi expects he is also struggling with a physical problem.
Hasi also defended the rotation he is implementing: "At this stage of the season, it's not feasible to play with the same players every three days, especially because not all players are in top form yet. We have to remain cautious and monitor fatigue."
During the second half of the match against Brugge, Hasi felt his team dropped back too much, especially after the opponent started playing with two attackers.
Regarding the deployment of Vazquez instead of Dolberg: "I thought Luis Vazquez was more useful than Kasper Dolberg in this match," he said.
Ilay Camara and Adriano Bertaccini also got playing time to further integrate into the team. Hasi didn't rule out the possibility of two attackers for the next match.
Everyone realizes that there are still outgoing transfers to come. Hasi also confirmed this: "It's still uncertain whether Luis Vazquez and Kasper Dolberg will still be at the club at the end of the transfer window," he concluded.
