Mauves Army celebrates its 20 years anniversary, so chances are that this 'anniversary' will be celebrated with the necessary tifos and actions. Anderlecht messes around, Zulte takes the points

Anderlecht messes around, Zulte takes the points

Anderlecht failed to win the important match against Zulte Waregem. On the contrary, it lost 2-3 after, among other things, two gift-wrapped goals for Zulte after clumsy ball-losses by Purple-White. Anderlecht, which strangely played with three men at the back again, did get chances today, but it pounced on Bossut after half-time. After this new uppercut, another important match in Seraing will follow on Sunday. For this Anderlecht, every point seems like a gift from heaven at the moment.

Anderlecht takes unexpected point thanks to owngoal

Anderlecht takes unexpected point thanks to owngoal

Anderlecht drew 1-1 at Club Brugge with more luck than skill. An owngoal by Mechele in minute 78 provided the final score after Nielsen had given Brugge the lead 10 minutes earlier. Brugge were dominant and had missed a number of chances before and after half-time. Anderlecht did not provide a single goal attempt in 95 minutes between the frame and especially in midfield they lacked quality. After this windfall, two very important matches now follow for Purple-White against reinforced Zulte Waregem and then in Seraing.
