TRANSFERS - OTHER RSC Anderlecht and KV Ostend will not be working together on the exchange of foreign talents. Ostend chairman Marc Coucke states that Anderlecht stopped the deal because they see Ostend as a direct opponent in the Belgian championship.

Anderlecht and Ostend would be scouting foreign players, especially in South America, together and get these talents over to Belgium. Both teams would each obtain fifty percent of the transfer rights of these players. They would play for KV Ostend, and once they are well integrated, they would be given the possibility to move to Anderlecht. "If Anderlecht only want work together if we are not in Play off 1, then I prefer not to continue the negotiations", Coucke reacted. "We are more ambitious."

"We don't receive gifts"

Marc Coucke sounds rather frustrated that Ibrahima Conté and Idrissa Sylla were not allowed to join Ostend. "I recently heard Anderlecht should stop giving presents to Ostend. We are not receiving any gifts from them, on the contrary", Coucke says.

"Look at Fernando Canesin. We took him over because he didn't get any chance at Anderlecht. We paid a transfer fee, took over his salary and Anderlecht kept fifty percent of his transfer rights. Canesin took the chance we gave him and now several teams want him."

Coucke claims the negotiations about a collaboration are off the table, but they are still interested to land Ibrahima Conté.
