GAMES Sporting Anderlecht had their first real test last night in a friendly match against Salzburg. The Mauves were defeated with 4-1 and still have a lot of work to do before the start of the season. Delcroix took place in the central defence while goalkeeper Sels made his debute with the first team.

After just one minute blundering in the defence already led the Salzburg's opening goal. Youngster Delcroix's pass back to Sels was too short. The goalkeeper reacted too slow and also missed the ball. Minamino scored in the rebound as the first attempt struck the upright.

Anderlecht were nowhere and conceded two more goals right before half time. Hwang doubled the lead after weak defending of Appiah. Ulmer scored the 3-0 with a free kick in Sels' corner.

The second half was better with Anderlecht taking control immediately. Stanciu, playing a good match, brought his team back with a fantastic free kick. Teodorczyk came close of scoring Anderlecht's second, but the goal fell on the other side after a new mistake of Delcroix: 4-1 final score.
