"Doku was close to Liverpool"

YOUTH Jean Kindermans is a satisfied person. Not only because they have been able to bind eight talents longer to RSC Anderlecht, but also for the seriousness and importance with which Marc Coucke handles the files.


"Frankly, I nearly fell off my chair when I heard what the press conference was about to announce the news: the first time in fourteen years that so much attention has been given to youth," said a delighted Kindermans.

"It was not easy to negotiate," Kindermans admits, "I used to call the parents and I got the signature. Today the heads of the boys and the parents are made so crazy that you really have to give good arguments to convince them ".

"Jerémy Doku, for example, that boy was already almost in Liverpool, and on May 1 I handled that dossier, between the U17 training sessions of the national team. It was the most difficult case I had to deal with. If such a player can go to Liverpool, you do not have to come up with finances but with a dignified sporting project."
