History: Sels debuted for Lierse, where he went through the youth series. In January 2014 he ended up at AA Gent, where he experienced a glory period. Two years ago, Newcastle put five million euros on the table to bring him in, but in England Sels could never break through. Anderlecht lent him last season without a purchase option.

Feasibility: Anderlecht tried to get both Sels and Chancel Mbemba for a long time. With Sels they had a personal agreement. It never happened with Newcastle. Unless the deal with Strasbourg still fails and Didillon would disappoint, Sels will not return to Anderlecht.
