Devroe also asked after Utrecht-Belgian Dessers

TRANSFERS Not only Lazar Markovic was on the list of last minute offensive reinforcements. Luc Devroe also thought about Cyril Dessers from FC Utrecht, according to Het Laatste Nieuws. However, the Dutch team demanded a too high transfer fee for the striker.


Dessers is a youth product of OH Leuven. In 2014 he moved to Lokeren at the age of 20, but the big breakthrough didn't happen. In his first season he scored four times, but the following season he ended up on the second plan. So he went to NAC Breda and in the Dutch second division he scored 22 times. That earned him a transfer to Utrecht.

At Utrecht, Dessers scored nine goals last season in the first division and one in the Europa League. This season he started all three duels on the bench.
