INTERVIEWS It was a happy Sven Kums who spoke to the press. Even though there was doubt whether he would start because of back pain. In the end he is happy that he has bitten through. The supporters thanked Kums with a standing ovation at his substitution.
"I think we all enjoyed this game, Ghent started well and was more in the ball, that was also the case in the second half, but we all knew that we could not give away our lead to ten men" says Kums.
The midfielder has been struggling with the tailbone for a while and now had back pain. "It was a question mark if I would start, but in the end I'm glad I did, it was a long time since I scored again, so hopefully I'm on track now and the team too. It is in stupid games that we lose points and that has to leave, and that standing ovation from the supporters at my substitution certainly felt good. "
