OTHER According to the Walloon television channel RTBF, Phillip Cocu currently has the best papers to become the new coach of Anderlecht. Cocu was working at Fenerbahçe until the end of October. There he got his C4 after a draw against Anderlecht.

As a player Cocu knew a rich career at PSV, Barcelona and the Dutch national team. In 2008, immediately after his player career, he started working as an assistant national coach. A year later he did the same at PSV. Until 2012 he continued to combine both functions.

After a short intermezzo as interim coach (he won the Dutch Cup) and a season as head coach of the oldest youth team of PSV, Cocu started his first assignment as head coach at PSV in 2013. He would stay this five season and he conquered three national titles.

Last summer Cocu said goodbye to PSV and went to Fenerbahçe. That was not a success and a draw against Anderlecht in the Europa League was too much and he got fired. Since then, Cocu is without a club.
