TRANSFERS Anderlecht have now officially confirmed what had been in the air for a while: Ivan Obradovic is not getting a new contract and must leave the club. Through a message on his social media, the Purple & White said goodbye to the 30-year-old left back.

"After four years, our number 37 has come to an end. Thank you, Ivan Obradovic, and good luck in the future," Anderlecht writes.

Anderlecht got Obradovic in the summer of 2015 at KV Mechelen. He was then the best left back in our competition. Last summer, Hein Vanhaezebrouck and Luc Devroe wanted the Serbian to leave, but he refused. Under Fred Rutten, he became the basic player again from scratch. Obradovic missed the last games of the season with an injury.

Obradovic played 90 games in four years. He scored once, on December 4, 2016 against KV Kortrijk.
