Anderlecht six months without Najar

INJURIES The injury Andy Najar sustained with Honduras at the beginning of June is much worse than feared. Research by Anderlecht shows that his cruciate ligaments are torn. Najar has to go under the knife and cannot play for six months.


Initially, people feared a slight injury to the meniscus in Honduras.

After losing Najar, Anderlecht still have Alexis Saelemaekers, Emmanuel Sowah and Alexandru Chipciu as right back. But the first is better in a more offensive role, the second barely played in the first team (also due to long injuries) and the third had to leave last summer. Maybe Anderlecht will look for an extra right back.
