TRANSFERS According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Kemar Roofe is coming to strengthen the purple and white ranks. "An agreement between Leeds and Anderlecht is close," said an unnamed board member of the English Championship club. Roofe's contract continued until mid-2020, which means that Anderlecht will not have to pay the full price.

Profile

Roofe is a 26-year-old Englishman of Jamaican descent. He his with 1.78m not the tallest, but he does have the profile that Kompany has been looking for for some time. A technically skilled striker with a lot of speed. Roofe can also be used as left and right winger.

Via the lower series, he turned out to be a real goal machine. This had also not escaped to the eyes of Leeds United and in the summer of 2016 'The Peacocks' put 3.5 million euros on the table for the striker. Roofe became top scorer at his club last season, with 15 goals from 33 games. As a result of which also Glasgow Rangers showed interest. The pocket striker, however, prefers Brussels above Glasgow, partly due to the factor Kompany.

Roofe is currently struggling with a minor injury, but would soon travel to Brussels to take his medical tests.
