Kompany hopes to be fit again for Club Brugge

INJURIES RSC Anderlecht have to do without Vincent Kompany. Further investigation showed that he has a crack in the hamstrings and no strain. The defender will be out for about a month. He hopes to be fit again for the game against Club Brugge on September 21.


His gala game on September 11 will continue as planned. Ticket sales run like a train and City hopes that Kompany can play, even if it is only five minutes.

In the stands

The Belgian Football Union already announced that it would keep an eye on Kompany during the game against Standard. After all, he does not yet have a trainer's diploma and is therefore not allowed to coach in principle. Anderlecht will in any case not take any risks and is aware of the possible consequences. Kompany may then also take a seat in the stands next Sunday and not in the dug-out.
