U11 on the podium at Moerdijk Cup

YOUTH A youth tournament for the U11 was organized this weekend in Zevenbergen in the Netherlands: the "Moerdijk International U11 Cup". RSC Anderlecht finished third, after FC Utrecht and KRC Genk. Many of the big players of European football participated, including Paris Saint German and Manchester City.


Anderlecht were in Group B during the group stage with PSV Eindhoven, FC Nordsjaelland and NAC Breda. These 3 games were played and won on Saturday (1-0, 4-0 and 0-4). In the second group phase, Anderlecht came up against big teams such as Paris Saint Germain, FC Utrecht and Feyenoord. Here too the U11 achieved 9 points from 3 matches. (2-0, 1-2 and 1-0).

The two Belgian clubs met in the semifinals. Unfortunately, KRC Genk was too strong and Anderlecht lost this match 1-0. The match for third place against AFC Ajax was then won with 1-3. They achieved a nice third place. FC Utrecht won the final with 3-0 against KRC Genk and so - unexpectedly - won the tournament.
