INTERVIEWS Alexis Saelemaekers almost scored for the Belgian U21, but he saw his shot hit the post. Saelemaeker's strong match against Standard also immediately earned him a place in the starting eleve nwith the Belgian U21. Physically he feels better every match.
His teammates at RSC Anderlecht are currently in Manchester. They will attend the farewell match of Vincent Kompany tonight: "I would have liked to be there, but the match against Bosnia-Herzegovina was too important."
Saelemaekers comes from a difficult period where he often did not even make the selection, but physically he feels better and better: "My legs feel better now than after the game against Standard. I feel a lot fresher now."
"The disappointment is big, we were the better team and earned the three points," Saelemaekers continues on the draw against Bosnia-Herzegovina, "But we have to stay positive and focus on the next games".
