Loss against KV Mechelen in friendly game

GAMES Anderlecht lost 1-4 yesterday afternoon in a friendly match against KV Mechelen. Who played for Anderlecht is unknown. However, the KV Mechelen website states that Gerkens, Musona, Cobbaut, Thelin and Trebel, among others, started the game.


Anderlecht regularly plays friendly games during the international break. This time KV Mechelen was the sparring partner of service. Anderlecht obviously missed the injured players and the internationls, but still it could bring some big names such as Gerkens, Musona, Cobbaut, Thelin and Trebel.

Tainmont gave Mechelen the lead via a penalty, after which Schoofs doubled the lead after halftime. Thelin scored against, but Mechelen would again deepen the lead through goals from again Hairemans and from substitute Van Keilegom.

It is (for the time being) guessing for the full line-up of Anderlecht, but apparently it was mainly players who had less chances of playing lately.
