Winter transfer for Trebel? Frenchman visits Al Shabab

TRANSFERS Adrien Trebel may now seem to be yielding to a transfer to the desert. Het Nieuwsblad knows that the midfielder visited Al Shabab yesterday. The Saudi club wanted to attract Trebel in the summer, but then he rejected the offer.


In August, Trebel did not want to move to Saudi Arabia with his wife and son. Moreover, he still had a large salary with Anderlecht. With Vincent Kompany, however, Trebel didn't play much. The arrival of Frank Vercauteren opened doors, but a departure seems the best for Trebel.

Together with his agent Mogi Bayat, Trebel visited the infrastructure of Al Shabab yesterday. If he likes it, the number six from Saudi Arabia will bid in January.

Trebel is currently recovering from an injury. His rehabilitation is going well. He may not make it to the Kortrijk game on 24 November, but he can normally play again the following week against Ostend.
