Sambi Lokonga signs until 2023

OTHER It has happened, Albert Sambi Lokonga has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht. He signed for three and a half years, until 2023. Yesterday, Albert Lokonga said with a grin that his extension was for "soon".


“The player and his management have taken a very constructive position during the negotiations. As a club we felt that Sambi is grateful and happy with the opportunities he has been given here. We also continued to support him during his long rehabilitation period, because we absolutely believe in his qualities. Since he came on the pitch against Standard, he has become an important link in our midfield. The contract extension is a good thing for both parties. Sambi is one of the great talents that has grown from our Youth Academy to the first team. “I am a child of Neerpede of course. This has been my club since I was 11 (2010). Playing here in the first team was also my big dream. At the start of this season, I felt the confidence of Vincent Kompany, the staff, the entire club. Now I have to prove myself even further at Anderlecht, let my qualities fully mature and try to contribute to the new  successes that the club and its fans are longing for. I still have challenges enough here until 2023. So I extend my contract with full enthusiasm ", the player himself said.
