Copenhagen sends Bundu back: "Didn't go as planned"

INTERVIEWS FC Copenhagen will not lift the purchase option on Mustapha Bundu. Sports director Peter Christiansen announces this on the club's website. The winger therefore returns to Anderlecht. "I now want to take my chance there," he says.


"Bundu has shown flashes of his great potential, but not to the extent that we will lift the purchase option," said Christiansen. "We are happy to have had him with us and wish him all the best in Belgium."

"It didn't turn out as both parties had hoped," Bundu looks back on his loan. "I have always felt welcome at Copenhagen and felt good in the group. Now I look forward to returning to Anderlecht and taking my chances there."

The 24-year-old Bundu came to three places in the starting eleven, eleven times he came in, scored one goal and gave two assists at Copenhagen.
