INTERVIEWS Wouter Vandenhaute has been chairman of Anderlecht for over a year now, but has not yet received a salary. He tells this in De Morgen. "That will change soon, but when I started as a consultant, there was no money."

According to Vandenhaute, agreements will soon be made about his remuneration. Initially there were rumors that he would become a co-shareholder, but that idea has been shelved. "That would make things even more complicated. I want to be part of the solution, not the problem," said Vandenhaute.

"I am having fun," says Vandenhaute about his role as chairman. "It is quite a puzzle to become financially healthy again and to maintain a good position, but I love that challenge." According to the chairman, there is now a lot more stability and clarity than a year ago. "But you can't say that Anderlecht is back yet. Let's stay very humble."
