TRANSFERS The Nigerian website CompleteSports claims that Anderlecht is interested in Maduka Okoye, the 21-year-old goalkeeper of Sparta Rotterdam and Nigerian international. According to the Nigerians, Okoye should replace Hendrik Van Crombrugge if he leaves this summer.

According to CompleteSports, Anderlecht expects Van Crombrugge to leave this summer. We dare to doubt that: not only did the goalkeeper hardly play last season due to a back injury, after the imminent sale of Albert Sambi Lokonga, the Purple & White already have the necessary millions in their pocket.

When Van Crombrugge leaves, Okoye comes into the picture. The 21-year-old goalkeeper, born and trained in Germany, has been playing for Sparta Rotterdam since last summer. He immediately became player of the year and is now also the Nigerian number one. According to CompleteSports, Sparta wants at least 5 million euros and AZ, Bournemouth and Stade Reims are also showing interest.

Okoye still has a contract with Sparta until mid-2022, but Sparta has an option to extend it by two years.
