TRANSFERS - TRANSFERS Anderlecht have done their next summer transfer. The Purple & White announced that Benito Raman has signed a three-year contract. The Belgian comes over from Schalke 04, with which he relegated from the Bundesliga last season. German sources speak of a transfer fee of 3 million euros.
In recent days, Raman has been linked to Beerschot, but it is Anderlecht that brings him back to Belgium. The 26-year-old Raman has played 80 games in the Bundesliga in the past three seasons. In it he scored 16 times. In September 2019, he played his only international match so far.
"Didn't have to think long"
"Benito must give our attacking compartment more speed and depth," says sports director Peter Verbeke. "In addition, he fits perfectly in the way in which we as a team want to aggressively put high pressure."
"If Anderlecht calls, you don't have to think long," says Raman himself. "I already know some players here like Hendrik, Colin and Yari. I'm ready to prove my worth at RSCA and I'm already looking forward to the first games."
