Verschaeren first with U21 against Turkey

OTHER Before reporting to the Red Devils of Roberto Martinez, Yari Verschaeren will first play a European Championship qualifier against Turkey with the young Devils. National coach Jacky Mathijsen also called up four other Anderlecht players.


On Friday, September 3, the national U21 will play their second European Championship qualifier against Turkey. The first was won against Kazakhstan with 1-3. Mathijsen is counting on Verschaeren for a second win in a row. The young Anderlecht player will join the big boys afterwards.

Lucas Lissens, Killian Sardella, Marco Kana and Anouar Ait El Hadj will also be there against Turkey.
