Overview international games: Zirkzee scores twice again

YOUTH Three players of Anderlecht came in action with their national team yesterday. Joshua Zirkzee keeps on scoring and is now top scorer in the preliminaries of the European Championship U21. Timon Vanhoutte, Naim Van Attenhoven and Kristian Arnstad also came into action.


The Dutch U21 team had an easy 0-7 victory at Gibraltar. Joshua Zirkzee played the entire game. He provided the assist for the opening goal and scored the fourth and fifth goals himself. It is already the fourth time in the last five duels, club and country, that the striker scored twice. With seven goals in five games, he is top scorer in the European Championship preliminary round.

Kristian Arnstad won a friendly game against the Czech Republic with 4-1 with Norway U18. Captain Arnstad played the entire game. He gave an assist.

Naim Van Attenhoven was between the posts for Niger for the second match in a row. The World Cup qualifier against Djibouti was won with  7-2.

The Belgian U18 lost to the Netherlands with 2-1. Goalkeeper Timon Vanhoutte stayed on the bench. Saturday against England (0-0) he played the entire game.
