OTHER 21-year-old Jakub Kiwior made his debut in Serie A, as the Polish defender played the entire match against Inter Milan with Spezia. Kiwior arrived at Anderlecht in 2016 as a 16-year-old top talent, but could not live up to it.

Kiwior ended up at Anderlecht thanks to Michel Thiry, at the time also the agent of Marcin Wasilewski. Already at the age of 15, he came to Anderlehct for a training camp and in the summer of 2016 he signed a contract for three years. Kiwior came over from the Polish third division club GKS Tychy. In the summer of 2017, Rene Weiler even allowed him to briefly train with the first team.

In January 2019, Kiwior left Anderlecht for the Slovakian first division club Podbrezova. He immediately conquered a place in the starting eleven and after six months he left for Zilina. Last summer, Spezia paid 1.5 million euros to get him to the Serie A.

There he was always on the bench, but yesterday he got his first playing minutes. On a visit to Inter Milan, Kiwior, who is also a regular with the Polish U21, played the entire match at center back. Spezia lost with 2-0 and Kiwior caused a penalty kick after hand play. In the press he received praise for a great interception that prevented Correa from scoring, but the naive way he caused a penalty kick ruined his debut, it sounds.
