Official: Matthys joins scouting cell

OTHER Anderlecht has found reinforcements for the scouting team in Tim Matthys (37). Matthys used to work as Sports Manager for AA Gent, but now he will be working for Anderlecht where he will be working together with Peter Verbeke again. The transfer had been in the air for a while.
 


Matthys' transfer is no surprise since there have been rumors about Matthys' arrival at Anderlecht for quite some time. He played almost 500 games in his career for clubs like Zulte Waregem, AA Gent, KV Mechelen and Mons. Before joining AA Gent, he was Head of Scouting at KV Mechelen. At Purple and White he will now work together with Peter Verbeke and Dries Belaen (Manager Recruitment).

"At RSC Anderlecht I will be joining the biggest club in Belgium. I want to make my contribution here so the club can grab that 35th title as soon as possible.",said Matthys.
