TRANSFERS Foreign media are reporting Anderlecht's interest in Wilfried Gnonto and Stefan Mitrovic. Gnonto is an 18-year-old striker who has scored four times this season for FC Zurich. Mitrovic is a 19-year-old attacking midfielder from Radnicki Nis.

It is the Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb that reports on the interest in Gnonto. Gnonto is an Italian with roots in the Ivory Coast. He went through the youth series of Inter Milan and has played for FC Zurich in Switzerland since the summer of 2020. In a season and a half he was allowed to start five times and came in 38 times. This season he has already scored four times in the league and twice in the cup. Gnonto is also an international with the Italian U19. In October he scored against Iceland and Slovenia. Gnonto is still under contract at Zurich until 2023. His market value is estimated at 3 million euros.

Mitrovic has both a Serbian and Canadian nationality. He was in the interest of Club Brugge, but according to Northern Futbol, a podcast about soccer in America and Canada, only Anderlecht and Red Star Belgrade are still in the running. The 19-year-old player is a regular at Radnicki Nis, for whom he has already scored six times this season. In November he made his debut with the Serbian U21 and promptly scored against Ukraine. Mitrovic's contract at Nis still runs until 2023. His market value is estimated at 600,000 euros.

That such names are linked to Anderlecht is not strange. The scouts of Anderlecht search the world for interesting, young talent. That such players are on their radar, is therefore not strange. Of course, that doesn't mean that Anderlecht will actually attract them.
