Official: Guillaume Gillet joins U23s in 1B

OTHER There were rumors about it recently, but now it's official. Former player Guillaume Gillet (38) signed a contract for one season with Anderlecht U23 that will play in 1B next season.
 


Gillet played 330 matches for Anderlecht between 2008 and 2016 and conquered 4 national titles and 1 cup. Gillet showed enthusiasm about his return to Neerpede. The U23 teams are allowed to contain two players older than 30 years, but then they are not allowed to play with the A-team.

CEO Peter Verbeke also thought Gillet's return was a perfect match: "I am happy that someone like Guillaume has accepted our offer to teach our U23 the necessary métier on the field.".
