Selection U23: some remarkable names

GAMES - 1B The U23 of Anderlecht plays its second league match at 16h on the field of Lommel. Robin Veldman just announced the nineteen-man selection. With some striking names. 


Just like last week, Verbruggen, Ishaq and Angulo are in the selection. Duranville (no minutes in the first team after seven games) and Sadiki (147 minutes) join the U23 squad today. E. Agyei and Engwanda are absentees. Agyei had to settle for a ten minute substitution against Deinze and has been linked with a move to Burnley several times this summer.

Engwanda has been a regular in the reserves for a while now and played the full match on the opening day last week. Is he injured or has Mazzu claimed him for the first team after Trebel's injury?

Sardella and El Hadj (each still only 90' with the first team this season) were options for Veldman, but are not in the squad. El Hadj is reportedly still aiming for a (temporary?) departure. 

Lommel won 1-4 on the field of Dender last week. It is the only team that can still take the maximum of points after two match days. If the young purple and white win this afternoon, they will be in the lead in the Challenger Pro League.
