Very weak physical parameters

OTHER Anderlecht are among the worst pupils in 1A in terms of physical parameters. This is the conclusion reached by Het Laatste Nieuws after comparing different rankings of physical parameters. So it is time the players put in some serious teeth


President Wouter Vandenhaute said only yesterday that Anderlecht must be capable of much better. Several statistics checked by Het Laatste Nieuws prove him right. Anderlecht scores very badly in several criteria related to physical presence and commitment.

• Anderlecht are penultimate in the ranking of duels won. They won only 49.2% of their duels.
• Anderlecht is last in terms of sprint kilometres covered (9.9 kilometres).
• Anderlecht is penultimate in terms of the number of sprints covered (142).
• Anderlecht is third last in terms of successful tackles.
• Anderlecht is last in the ranking of ball interceptions (110).
