Injury Verschaeren not so bad after all?

INJURIES After the game against Eupen, coach Robin Veldman came with slightly positive news about Yari Verschaeren's injury. In the afternoon, Het Nieuwsblad was still talking about an absence of two to those weeks, but it may not get that far.


Should Verschaeren be out for two to three weeks, he will be out of action until the World Cup and miss four matches. On his press conference afterwards, however, Veldman said that he could play again as early as Thursday against Silkeborg. "I still have to check that out with the medical staff," the coach said.

Verschaeren injured his knee against FCSB on Thursday. On Saturday, it seemed that he would be able to play yesterday and so he was also just in the match selection. On Sunday, however, the pain came up again.
