GAMES - 1B The RSCA Futures lost 2-1 at FC Dender last night. Enock Agyei (pictured) had given the visitors the lead, but Stefano Marzo gave Dender the victory with two goals.
No competition for the first team due to the World Cup, so Leoni played again with his U23 mates. Guys like Verbruggen, Sardella, Sadiki, Duranville, Ishaq, Ait El Hadj and Angulo were not there.
The first chance of the match was for Stassin, but he found Dender goalkeeper Gies, a youth product of Anderlecht, in his path. A little later, Leoni escaped a red card after kicking on the sideline. On the half hour, Anderlecht opened the scoring through Agyei (pictured), it was his first of the season. Purple and white, however, failed to hold the lead for long. Marzo equalized.
After the break, Anderlecht had the first chances through Ferrara, Leoni and Lokesa. Still, it was Marzo again who managed to score: 2-1. Afterwards, Anderlecht lost ground. In the closing stages, coach Guillaume Gillet allowed 17-year old attacking midfielder Tristan Degreef to make his debut.
After this defeat, Anderlecht is in fourth place with 23 points. Beerschot has 26 and leaders Beveren and RWDM 28. Next Saturday, the RSCA Futures will take on Beerschot.
