TRANSFERS In its search for offensive reinforcements, Anderlecht has also ended up with Sory Kaba, active at OH Leuven last season. Het Nieuwsblad writes on the basis of Danish sources that purple-white already inquired about the 27-year-old Guinean's transfer conditions.

With Fabio Silva, Anderlecht currently has only one real deep striker. Something needs to be added there. In January, Sporting therefore wants to strengthen with an affordable, physically strong and big striker. Several avenues are being followed and one of them is that of Sory Kaba.

The 27-year-old Kaba, 1m91 and 80 kg, currently plays for Midtjylland in Denmark. This season, his tally stands at two goals and four assists in 14 league games. He also scored once in the Europa League (against Lazio) and once in the cup.

Last season, Kaba played on loan for OH Leuven. There, he scored ten goals in 26 league matches, including once against Anderlecht. In that same match, he missed a penalty kick in the 98th minute, keeping it 2-2.

Kaba is still under contract with Midtjylland until mid-2024 and his market value is estimated at €2.5 million. According to Het Nieuwsblad, a transfer is negotiable if €1.5 million is put on the table.
