TRANSFERS - 1B At Swedish newspaper Fotbollskanalen, Henrik Bellmann explains why he chose an adventure at the RSCA Futures. "It was a fantastic opportunity to come to such a big club. It's a great challenge to show what I can do."

Bellmann is no stranger to Anderlecht coach Brian Riemer. The two still worked together at FC Copenhagen's U19. "After that, we kept in touch," Bellmann said. "Riemer has continued to follow my development and knows what I stand for."

The 23-year-old Swede signed with Anderlecht until the end of the season, but the deal includes an option for two more years. "I will train with the first team, but currently play my games with the Futures who play in the second division. Whether I will also get my chance with the first team? I do think that is the plan. In Sweden, the league is already done since mid-November, while here it is in full swing. So I need a run-in period."

"However, I shouldn't think I'll get my chance with the A-team right away. The step is too big for that. But the fact that I can train with the first team and play matches with the U23 in a real league (and not a reserve league) was decisive for me."

Among other things, Bellmann is looking forward to working with Jan Vertonghen. "He played more than 300 games for Tottenham, that merits respect. Anderlecht also has vaunted players in the youth academy."
