YOUTH - TRANSFERS Anderlecht have just announced the transfer of Julian Duranville to Borussia Dortmund. "The club has made every effort to offer Julien, within a clear framework and trajectory, a future within the first team of purple-white. However, the player and his entourage preferred the step abroad," the club wrote.

"Duranville has decided to leave the club after ten years at purple-white," Anderlecht's message begins. "Some time ago, the club had started talks with the player and his entourage to tie Julien to the club for longer. The club made every effort to offer Julien, within a clear framework and trajectory, a future within the first team of purple-white. However, the player and his entourage preferred the move abroad.

According to Anderlecht, a transfer to Dortmund now offers the best solution for all parties. "We are obviously sad in the first place to lose a talent like Julien Duranville," responded CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg. "Our ambitions have not changed: we want to guide our own talented players to their breakthrough in the first team and also give our fans the pleasure of seeing them at work."

"Given the specific circumstances surrounding Julien, this is the best solution for the player and the club," Fredberg continued. "Dortmund has an excellent reputation in terms of coaching young talents, so we are ultimately also happy that Julien will be able to develop further at such a club."

"Everyone within Anderlecht, and especially the youth coaches and staff who have coached Julien Duranville over the last decade, wish him all the best in his further career. Julien will always be and remain welcome at Neerpede," Purple-White concluded.
