INTERVIEWS With a nice header and a foot in the third goal, Islam Slimani decided the game against STVV yesterday. However, he was only allowed to step in after 75 minutes. "The most important thing for me is that I could help the team get three points and that we win matches," he said.
"I was ready to start the match, but it's up to the coach to choose. I am very happy for Benito Raman that he scored. I think we can do nice things this season."
At the press conference, Brian Riemer praised the Algerian's successful integration into the squad. Slimani worked very hard during the week and saw that rewarded with an important goal.
"I am not the saviour of Anderlecht," he said. "When I came in, the score was 1-0 and the most important thing is the three points. We have to look game by game and try to get as many points as possible. Amuzu's cross was perfect. The automatisms are starting to come."
