AZ loses at Twente

GAMES AZ Alkmaar, Anderlecht's opponent in the Conference League quarterfinals, lost 2-1 at Twente this weekend. AZ remains in third place, eight points behind leader Feyenoord. It has played one game less, though.


AZ had apparently not yet digested Thursday's European triumph against Lazio Roma. After just 11 minutes of play, it was already 2-0 down. A little past the hour, Karl Karlsson eased to 2-1, but that was it.
