Verbruggen to Euro U21

GAMES - YOUTH Bart Verbruggen is part of the Dutch selection for the European Under-21 Championship in Romania and Georgia. That means the goalkeeper is no longer part of the Netherlands' A-selection for the upcoming qualifiers.


The tournament starts June 21 for players born after Jan. 1, 2000. The Netherlands is in a group with Belgium, Portugal and Georgia. The first match is immediately against the young Red Devils.

Possibly the same scenario also awaits Zeno Debast. The defender may be called up for the A-team, but may also possibly participate in the European Championship.
