"Colassin can fit in with us next season too"

INTERVIEWS Heerenveen have not lifted the purchase option in Antoine Colassin's rental agreement. The Frisians think the stipulated transfer fee is too high. But it seems Heerenveen do want to continue with Colassin. "Antoine is doing well here," he gets praise from coach Kees van Wonderen.


For a long time, Colassin was mostly a substitute, only a few weeks ago conquering a starting place. Speaking to Voetbal International, Van Wonderen explains how that went. "Colassin then came to me. He wanted to play more and make sure he could stay with Heerenveen. I thought that was a very nice conversation. It showed his attitude and motivation."

According to Van Wonderen, Colassin sees Heerenveen as a good club to develop. The Belgian would therefore like to stay, but then Heerenveen will have to find an agreement with Anderlecht. Colassin still has a contract with purple-white until 2025. The purchase price stipulated in the lease agreement is too high for the Frisians.

In any case, Van Wonderen sees a future for Colassin in Friesland. "I see in him a player who could also fit in at Heerenveen next season," he concludes.
