INTERVIEWS - 1B Nilsson Angulo made a big impact at RSCA Futures last weekend. Against Lokeren-Temse, he showed why he was selected for Ecuador's national team. He dominated the left flank and constantly tested Lokeren's defense. Despite a shot on the crossbar in the first half, he found the net in the 60th minute and led his team to a 0-1 victory.
The coach, Jelle Coen, noted that the team is now more mature and better able to hold on to leads. The defensive stability also seems to have become more effective with Lapage in a leading role. This even despite Dom's suspension.
The pressure was high for Anderlecht's U23, especially after the victory of the (shared) last in the standings, Francs Borains, against Deinze. Coach Coen, however, refused to comment on the issue (Deinze played with the pledges due to impending bankruptcy). He only emphasized that his focus is on his team's preparation for the next game against Lierse. “The team remains focused on the future. The results will speak for themselves,” he sounded.
