Mo Ouahbi, former youth coach at Anderlecht, is now national coach of the Moroccan U20 and knows Dao well. “A nice player,” is how Ouahbi describes the striker. According to Ouahbi, he is not a striker who scores by the conveyor belt, but he can hurt a defense. “In Morocco, they often call him 'Doku,'” he echoes. Obviously Doku is still of a different level, but Dao has the same thick thighs and cutting dribbles. “That's why he can accelerate and dribble well.”

Ouahbi says Dao is not a target striker like Vazquez. Rather, he sees Dao as a second striker or someone who comes in from the flank. “Outside, coming in and kicking with the right. He likes to challenge the opponent. Dao is a type to become Amuzu's successor or replacement,” Ouahbi concluded.
