Hubert: “Vertonghen trains for 100%”

INJURIES - INTERVIEWS Jan Vertonghen has been included in RSC Anderlecht's selection for the match against Fenerbahçe. The captain is about to return after a long-term injury and could already make playing minutes tonight in Istanbul. David Hubert confirmed during the press conference that Vertonghen is “very close to returning.” Hubert stressed the importance of Vertonghen's presence with the team. Vertonghen was out for a long time due to problems with his Achilles tendon and ankle.

“He is almost recovered and training at 100 percent,” Hubert said. The coach added that it is now crucial that Vertonghen can continue this positive streak. “By being part of the selection, Vertonghen is fully connected to the team again.”

So there is a chance then Vertonghen will make minutes tonight, although this will still be rather limited and depend on the course of the match.
