INTERVIEWS Philippe Albert, ex-Anderlecht and now analyst in French-speaking Belgium, saw that Union won easily against Anderlecht on Saturday all in all. “The team from Forest didn't even have to be good to easily place themselves above RSC Anderlecht,” it sounded. In his opinion piece, Albert mainly expressed his dissatisfaction with coach Besnik Hasi's five-man defense, which he believes is ineffective. Albert therefore advocates a more offensive style of play: "I note that the basic lineup of purple and white contained no less than eight defensive players. That way, of course, you get a lone Dolberg up front, who gets little support in attack."

Albert, a former defender himself, also criticized the role of Adryelson in Union's first goal, who he said acted far too laxly. Albert also saw that today ball loss by Thorgan Hazard seems to lead to a counter goal. “Anderlecht must now work urgently to secure fourth place, or a season without European soccer may be at risk,” he echoed.

Guillaume Gillet also made himself heard and warned not to enter the cup final with the current system of play. Gillet suggests returning to a simpler tactic, preferring a 4-4-2 system. According to him, this change would provide more support for striker Kasper Dolberg, who is having a hard time all by himself in the striker's position.

Finally, Alexander Teklak also joins this criticism: "Anderlecht struggles to get the ball to the attackers, which is why Hazard often drops back. There was improvement with the insertion of Theo Leoni and Nathan De Cat, which resulted in a more fluid game. Yari Verschaeren took a higher position, which benefited the attack." According to Teklak, the team now urgently needs to build confidence for the cup final and coach Besnik Hasi urgently needs to find solutions. “His nervous attitude along the line may also have a negative influence on the young players,” he added.
