Goalkeeper Colin Coosemans expressed his joy over the victory and praised coach David Hubert for his choices. “The team was well prepared and we were efficient in the first half. The 1-2 win against Slavia Prague puts Anderlecht third in the Europa League with 14 points. Teams in places 8, 9 and 10 count 11 points. After an eight-month absence due to injury, Thorgan Hazard looks set to celebrate his return to the field. The Anderlecht player could make his return during the last home game of the year, on Dec. 27 against Dender. The RSCA Futures suffered a disappointing defeat against Club NXT after a six-game unbeaten streak. The team started the second half weakly, resulting in a 3-0 loss. Anderlecht had to toil until the very last minute against Beerschot. It eventually won deservedly 2-1 with a goal by Anders Dreyer in minute 92. Anderlecht played very weak before halftime and could breathe a sigh of relief when Verschaeren (also in extra time) netted the equalizer just before halftime after Al-Sahafi (him again) had headed Beerschot into the lead early. Despite Westerlo taking an early lead with Van den Keybus capitalizing on lax defending, Anderlecht quickly equalized through Zanka's controlled strike.
