Scoreless draw after weak performance in Union

Anderlecht couldn't manage more than a 0-0 draw against Union, and they should consider themselves lucky. The team played a very weak match, especially in the first half, where they were outclassed by Union, who had several chances. The biggest opportunity, a penalty, was wasted by Rodriguez. After halftime, Union couldn't maintain their level, although they remained the more dangerous side, with Terho hitting the crossbar. Anderlecht wins 1-3 in Mechelen

Anderlecht overcame a tough challenge in Mechelen with a 1-3 victory. Despite moments of difficulty, especially after conceding the 1-0 goal, Anderlecht managed to go into halftime with a 1-2 lead thanks to late goals from Augustinsson and Amuzu, both from corners. After the break, goalkeeper Coosemans kept Anderlecht in the game as Mechelen pushed forward. In the final minutes, Leoni calmly sealed the 1-3 win.  Read more »

Anderlecht was unable to secure a third consecutive victory, settling for a 1-1 draw against OHL. The first half saw Anderlecht play solidly, with Dolberg missing a chance to make it 2-0 after his opening goal, before Maertens equalized just before halftime. Anderlecht maintains the maximum points after a 1-2 victory over Antwerp. They owe this largely to efficient finishing and a solid performance from goalie Colin Coosemans, as Antwerp undoubtedly had the most chances and attempts on goal. Anderlecht had two major opportunities and scored on both occasions, although Dolberg also hit the post. Ultimately, Majeed Ashimeru secured the win for Anderlecht ten minutes before the end, following goals from Dolberg and a first-half equalizer by Kerk. Read more »

Stroeykens saves Anderlecht at the last minute

Anderlecht secured their first win of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory over STVV. The match wasn't spectacular, with Anderlecht struggling to create chances against a weak STVV side. Anderlecht, with mainly players from the Futures, won a friendly game against French second division side Amiens by generous figures. It was 6-2 at the training ground in Neerpede. At half-time, Purple and White were already leading by a comfortable 4-0. Read more »

Anderlecht beat Wolfsburg with 2-1

Anderlecht won the last test for the league against Wolfsburg. It came 0-1 behind, but Purple White were able to turn the tide after half-time after the substitutions of Dolberg and Dreyer. By then, Wolfsburg had substituted all their better players and Coosemans prevented the equaliser twice. So not many conclusions can be drawn after this victory, only that this Anderlecht can use every reinforcement. Moreover, it remains to be seen how Amuzu, who had to leave the field injured, will fare. Read more »
