Polizzi follows Bergiers to Boom

YOUTH - TRANSFERS After eight years, Fabio Polizzi leaves Anderlecht training and chooses Rupel Boom. At Purple & White, the 19 years old defensive midfielder had no future. "Standard wanted to take him to Liege, but he chose us", Boom coach, Greg Vanderidt said on his club's website.

Vanderidt saw Polizzi working in Anderlecht's U21 against Standard last season. "Fabio was without a doubt the best man on the field. His upgrade made Standard Liege want to take him to Vurige Stede. However, he chose ours club", said Vanderidt.

Polizzi finds his five-year-old  brother Luca, and former teammate Matisse Bergiers in Boom, who finished ninth in the first class of amateurs last season. Bergiers changed Anderlecht's youth for the Rupel region earlier this summer.
