Official: Ajax announces arrival Bounida

YOUTH - TRANSFERS Ajax have officially announced the arrival of Rayane Bounida. Bounida signs a contract there that starts after the current season and runs until mid-2025. "It is a beautiful and new challenge," said Bounida at his introduction.


"I am very much looking forward to living here and meeting new players," said Bounida. "I would first like to make minutes in Ajax U17 and then in the UEFA Youth League. That's really a dream for me and my family. After that I would like to move on to Jong Ajax and Ajax 1." At the U17, Bounida meets Stanis Idumbo, who left Gent for Ajax last summer. The two know each other from the Belgian youth teams. "As soon as I get here I know who I can turn to. It's nice to already have a buddy here," said Bounida.

At Ajax Bounida joins the club of his great idol Abdelhak Nouri, "I always watched his videos and it was a pleasure to see him at work. For me, as a real football fan, Nouri is definitely my idol," said Bounida, who also looks up to Ryan Gravenberch. "I like his style of play. He even has a bit of the same name as me. Unfortunately I'm not as tall as he is, but that will come."
