INTERVIEWS Yari Verschaeren was satisfied with the result against Genk in the Belgian Cup, although he admitted that his team struggled in the first half. According to the midfielder, Anderlecht was the better team in the second half. “The players gave everything in extra time, which we dominated, so qualification seems well deserved,” he said.
Verschaeren also indicated that the team is mentally strong at the moment and was therefore able to respond appropriately. He did not have a preference for an opponent in the next round (and it turned out to be Gent).
